3 arrested for stealing items worth $1,500+ at Ulta in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Three people were arrested for shoplifting approximately $1,599 worth of items at Ulta on Whittlesey Boulevard.

According to police reports, on Thursday, Feb. 7 police were called to Ulta, located at 5550 Whittlesey Blvd. regarding a shoplifting incident.

Damon Ballard, 56, Kelli Colwell, 46, and 47-year-old April Carver were arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Police sent out a BOLO for the suspects around 1 p.m. after they left the scene in a beige vehicle. An officer later located the vehicle as it was pulling away on 44th Street and arrested the suspects.

The officer immediately saw the two large Ulta shopping bags full of items sitting on the floorboard behind the driver's seat. The officer also recovered multiple new unopened items that appeared to have been stolen from other stores.
