COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A young boy walked up to a police officer in a Burger King and asked him for his autograph.

Officer Terry Daniel had a celebrity moment Feb. 17th when he was asked to sign his autograph at a Burger King in Valley, AL.

"Being able to do something for a young man like that and seeing his joy and excitement makes me happy that I could do that for him," said Officer Daniel.

Officer Daniel's son, 17-year-old son captured the amazing moment in a Snapchat video as he watched his dad make someone's day.

"It made me happy for him to see something positive like that and to see that he was proud to have a parent in law enforcement," he said.

Officer Daniel said he hopes the video shows how contact with law enforcement isn't always negative and that he hopes law enforcement officers can have a positive impact on an individual's life.

"As a police officer, I’ve always tried and enjoyed having an impact on people’s lives."
