CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - The wife of a  former Chambers County district attorney was arrested for arson following a fire at her home in October 2017.

According to Maj. Terry Woods, 62-year-old Dorothy Sledge was arrested Tuesday after a grand jury indictment.

Former Assistant District Attorney, Roland Sledge, was arrested Jan. 3 after he admitted to police he started the fire at the home on 305 U.S. Highway 29.

The deputy fire chief of Valley says Sledge methodically set the home up to burn.
