COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Amerigroup, Hope Harbour, and Columbus Parks and Recreation hosted a teen dating violence forum Wednesday in Columbus.
The "Health Awareness: Teen Dating Violence" event took place at the Frank D. Chester Recreation Center and teens learned warning signs that families should be aware of when it comes to teen dating violence.
One teen says it's good to bring a topic like this out in the open.
"It's important to talk about it because teens are dying and being bullied," says Ganiya Williams.
Georgia is ranked No. 1 in the country in teen dating violence.
