Law enforcement agencies respond to reports of injured officer at scene in West Point

WEST POINT, GA (WTVM) - Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a scene in West Point after reports of an injured police officer.

While serving a search warrant at a home on East 10th Street, an officer was thought to be shot, however, it was an accidental discharge of his taser. The incident is still under investigation.

During the search, several amounts of marijuana was found throughout the home. Five individuals were also located at the home and one attempted to leave the scene.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substance or marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.
