COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Election day in the Columbus mayoral race is less than two weeks away.
Five of the six candidates running for mayor squared off in a News Leader 9 exclusive debate Thursday.
Candidates Skip Henderson, Zeph Baker, Danny Arencibia, Beth Harris, and Charlie Roberts were all present for the debate. Candidate Winfred Shipman did not arrive in time enough to participate but was interviewed separately.
Each candidate addressed concerns regarding law enforcement, crime, public safety officials, and more during the debate. In a separate interview, Shipman shared how he has impacted the community.
