LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - After a bridge collapsed during May 23's heavy rains and storms, several Lee County families were left stuck in the area surrounding their homes as the bridge served as their one way in and one way out.

Some residents say they have been unable to leave to get groceries and some are unable to go to work.

Tiger Tire and Auto filled up a boat with supplies and drove across Rock Creek Cove to deliver supplies to the families.

The business also says that they will provide the families with more supplies should the items delivered today run out before the situation can be fixed.

Residents say they have been told that a replacement bridge would be installed for a certain period of time. Afterward, they would be trapped even longer away from home if they leave.
