LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) – It's National Doughnut Day, and what do you do when a doughnut delivery truck wrecks in your town? LaGrange residents called the police called the police to have them pick up the doughnuts, so they don't go to waste.

"Seriously folks, that actually happened today. But instead of keeping all those doughnuts to ourselves, Sergeant McCoy with our Community Outreach Unit partnered with A LaGrange Towing to pass out these sweet treats all over town," the LaGrange Police Department posted on Facebook.

Officers took the doughnuts to Twin Cedars, day care centers, banks, shelters and many more businesses in town.

We hope you're enjoying National Doughnut Day!
