Truck overturned at the intersection of Forrest and Avalon Rd. in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - One truck has overturned and another has crashed at the intersection of two roads in Columbus.

A box truck carrying lawn service equipment overturned at the intersection of Forrest Rd. and Avalon Rd.

According to a police sergeant on the scene, another truck ran the red light, clipping the box truck, causing it to roll over.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There is no word yet on their condition.

The intersection is currently closed and it is unclear when it will reopen.

Drivers traveling in the area should find an alternate route.
