Birmingham man accidentally shoots, kills self in Chambers Co.
The Chambers Co. Sheriff's Office is investigating a case of an accidental shooting of a 19-year-old Birmingham native.

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - A Birmingham man has died after an apparent accidental shooting in Chambers County.

Deputies were called out on location on County Road 176 near Lafayette and Five Points June 19 in response to a shooting.

Police found 19-year-old Barry Anderson suffering from a gunshot wound.

Anderson was taken to the East Alabama Medical Center but later passed away from his injuries.

Chambers County investigators say they believe Anderson accidentally shot himself.

They are still investigating how the gun went off.
