It's illegal to use fireworks in multiple East Alabama cities

(WTVM) - It's illegal to use fireworks in multiple East Alabama cities some including of Auburn, Opelika, and Eufaula.
This Independence Day will be the first one where fireworks will no longer be allowed inside Eufaula's city limits.
City officials say this new ordinance is in place to prevent fires.
If caught, police will have the right to take away your fireworks and issue you a citation.
Officials advise the public to look for a public fireworks display to attend Wednesday.
