COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- The staff at Olive Garden got a tip that a 6- year-old had been bullied at school. They received word that Lily Rose tried to celebrate her 6th birthday at school but instead, she was bullied.

Kristin Senter and the staff at Olive Garden decided to brighten up this little girl's day. They all got together and designated and decorated a certain area in the restaurant for her to celebrate her birthday and they also went out and bought her gifts.

Andrea Walker, the manager in training says, "I had a few team members who had previously been bullied in school know how she could feel as a child and they wanted to show her that there are people who care."

Lily was joined by family, and as she entered the special birthday area, she was greeted with a song.

This kind action planned by the staff was a surprise to Lily and her family.

Kristin Senter, the general manager says, "To a young child to just know that just to know that people do care and honestly it was my team and my manager in training that went above and beyond."

The manager of the restaurant says they just try to go above and beyond for customers because they believe that 'When you are here you are family' which is the restaurant's slogan.
