COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An organization in Columbus is offering free tutoring services ahead of the upcoming school year.
Combined Communities of Southeast Columbus (CCSC) is offering math and reading tutoring now until July 27 at the Mildred Terry Library from 10 a.m. to noon.
Tutoring is provided for children in pre-k to sixth grade.
"We know that for the youngest kids, the earlier you start them to reading, the better they will be in school. So, we have been tutoring for 35 years and we also tutor during the school year. We help the kids during the school year with all of their academic subjects," says coordinator Tresa Hart-Williams.
