Auburn developer Tom Hayley files suit against city of Auburn

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - A local developer is filing a lawsuit against the city of Auburn.
The controversial property is located at the corner of an intersection at North Donahue Drive and West Farmville Road.
Back in May, City Council struck down the approval to rezone property owned by Tom Hayley.
The lawsuit claims in part one of the council members denied the rezoning because of an "emotional issue."
Project managers were hoping to turn the area into a 60-thousand-square-foot-shopping-center. The city of Auburn says they have no comment on the litigation at this time.
