COLUMBUS,GA (WTVM)- After decades of the Historic Westville Museum being in West Georgia, it is now making its way here in Columbus.
Construction is still underway for the new site, which will go be located next to the National Infantry Museum.
Westville offers people of all ages a blast from the past, helping to educate everyone on the 19th century through exhibits, live interpretations, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Moving Westville to Columbus has been in the works since last year and many are wondering when it will finally open.
They are hoping this will boost popularity with the attraction being here in Columbus since visitor attendance in the last few years had gone down when in was in Stewart County.
The museum can then continue to build on its rich history. They are set to open October of this year.
