COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- In the past week, there have been some criminals placed behind bars, jersey's reunited with a proud family member, and some great events in the community. If you missed what happened with those stories here is a quick look at what you might have missed.

United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley will hold two collection days for its school supply drive, Stuff the Bus.

The first collection was held today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walmart on Airport Thruway.

The second collection day is Saturday, July 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walmart on Airport Thruway as well.

Columbus Police are on the scene investigating the death of a man following an overnight house party.

Timothy Whitehead, 25, was pronounced dead Saturday morning. Whitehead was dropped off at the hospital by a private vehicle.

Police have taken a man into custody in Auburn after stabbing a 15-year-old multiple times and cutting a 7-year-old.

When police arrived they found a 7-year-old girl lying in the driveway bleeding from a cut wound to the base of her skull.

New York Times best-selling author, motivational speaker, and evangelist Priscilla Shirer took to Instagram Wednesday to alert her fans that she was going to be at Lifeway Christian Bookstore in Columbus Park Crossing for a meet and greet.

Deputy Coroner Charles Newton confirmed that 20-year-old, Auburn native Octavious Towels has died in connection to a shooting that took place at Whisperwood Apartments.

A mother of a UGA football standout was reunited with her son's jersey, thanks to a Goodwill in LaGrange.

Three people are dead and two were injured after an apparent murder-suicide in Elmore County.

According to Sheriff Franklin, Bob Orsi shot and killed his wife, Charlene Ann Orsi, and one of their four children, then set the house on fire. Franklin said authorities assume the father shot and killed himself

The former Russell County Deputy Coroner is accused of aggravated child molestation and sodomy.

The victim was 15 years old at the time. Police say the victim went to get tested for STD's and when results came back positive police were called to investigate.

The Muscogee County Sheriff's Office confirms that three people were arrested after officials searched a home on Clearwater Drive Wednesday morning.
