PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - Starting soon, students in the Phenix City School District will be able to play "virtual sports."
Instead of traditional basketball or football, students will be able to compete in video games.
During a fall and spring season, school administration says teams will involve five players and games like Madden NFL Football and NBA 2K Basketball.
Players will either pay twenty dollars a month or sixty dollars per season for practice and play.
School officials say this will be a trendy, new experience for students which has proved popular in some Georgia schools.
