Phenix City police arrest man on several counts of armed robbery

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) – Phenix City Police arrested a man for armed robbery.

On July 10, Deaunte Adams was arrested and charged with five counts of robbery.

According to police, on the Fourth of July Adams was armed with a handgun when he approached three women with a small child outside the Marathon gas station on US Hwy. 431 South and demanded their money.

When he was told they did not have any cash he demanded the child be removed from their vehicle and he drove off in it.

On July 5, 2018, Adams attempted to take a vehicle from the gas pumps at the Chevron gas station on US Hwy 431 South. When Adams was confronted he pulled a handgun and pointed it at the individual who confronted him.

Adams was arrested by the Phenix City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force without incident.
