COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A networking event designed for veterans and members of their families made its way to the Chattahoochee Valley.
Work for Warriors Georgia hosted a networking event encouraging all attendees to bring a business card and a smile.
Several employers will be on hand and ready to meet with those associated with the military.
The event at the VFW post on Victory Dr. was designed to build connections in the workforce.
Work for Warriors is a new organization to the Chattahoochee Valley, so the event also served to help get their name and mission out to people all while giving a service to current and former service members.
"Work for Warriors Georgia is very new to the area. We initiated our program here in November of 2017," says Employment Coordinator Neisha Rogers. "We did have a very small event at Goodwill back in February and it was just about getting our name out there, letting people know we're here to support them."
Work for Warriors will continue to host events in Columbus. For more information, click here.
