Chambers County held 'Hard Hat Day' ceremony to kickoff Chambers County energy improvement

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Chambers County Commission and Schneider Electric's held a Hard Hat Ceremony today to kickoff the Chambers County Commission's capital recovery and reinvestment project.

The joint partnership with Schneider Electric will tackle the county's modernization effort head-on.

It will help by upgrading facilities, addressing a backlog of deferred maintenance and preserving the character of historic Lafayette, Alabama.

Chambers County Attorney Skip McCoy says, "We've been in negotiations for over a year. It'll bring a lot of improvements to the facilities here in Chambers County. It'll brighten up everything from lighting to improvements inside the buildings- so The Chambers County Commission has worked really hard in regard to this project".

The city will see upgraded lighting streets, energy efficiency that will help declining energy infrastructures.
