Lifesouth Community Blood Center in need of blood donations
AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - LifeSouth Community Blood Centers are facing an emergency need for all blood types. Summer is a slow time for donation centers causing the reserves to drop below a two-day supply.
Donors with "o" negative blood are especially needed as they are most often used in emergencies. Anyone who donates will receive a gift along with a mini-physical.
Donors must be at least 17-years-old with a photo-ID.
Lifesouth will be collecting blood donations today in Auburn, at the Kroger on North Dean Road.
They will be taking blood donations from 2:30 until 4:30 central.
Also, on Friday, you can head over to the Medical Arts Clinic of Opelika to donate.
Lifesouth'f officials will be there from 10:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. central.
All donors will be given a free Fandango movie ticket.
