COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Springer Film Institute held an open house to show what they are working on for fall.
A tour tonight included interactive stations and a peek inside all the areas they will be focusing on.
This Fall, they will offer classes like Indy Filmmaker 101, Screen Writing, Acting, Writing and Editing.
"It's really important for us to create indigenous film culture in Columbus," says Springer Film Institute Director Sara Lynn Herman "because we have so many creative people I mean the film industry is booming but instead of having to leave and go to Atlanta. What if you could stay here and you could thrive here and you could follow your dreams here and that's what we're trying to do."
