FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - There is a new leader taking over the infantry school at Fort Benning.

Brigadier General David M. Hodne will now serve as the 59th Commandant of the U.S. Army Infantry School after a ceremony Friday at the Benning Club Post.

In his role as Infantry School Commandant, Hodne will also serve as the director of the Soldier Lethality Cross Functional Team.

Hodne has served in the Military for 27 years. His most recent assignment was the executive officer to the commander, U.S. Central Command in MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
