UPDATE: Man ID'ed in deadly shooting on Mellon St.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in the 400 block of Mellon St.
Patrol responded to the scene at around 6:13 a.m.
The man shot and killed was identified as Stanford Jones. He was found in his living room suffering from a gunshot wound.
Jones was pronounced dead at 7:07 a.m.
He will be taken to Atlanta for an autopsy.
