COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A debate over building a new housing complex in Columbus continues.
Representatives of the TBG discussed the design of the 84-unit three story building with the Columbus Consolidated Government's Board of Historic and Architectural Review on Monday.
TBG Residential still says its housing project along Hilton Avenue and Wynnton Road not only belongs there, but "will bring life and business to the community."
The Help Save Hilton group continued to argue why the buildings would not fit in the neighborhood and presented ways that they thought the buildings could work, which included incorporating a historic feel to the building to maintain the historic look of the neighborhood.
Help Save Hilton also argued their concerns of heavier traffic in the area and schools becoming over crowded if the complex is built.
