Meet Greenlee Lamb: Children's Miracle Network helps save her life after collision
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - News Leader 9 is spotlighting several children who have been impacted by Piedmont Columbus Regional as a part of the Children's Miracle Network Mediathon starting on Aug. 22.
Little Greenlee Lamb was involved in a head-on collision that left her fighting for her life three years ago.
"We were moved to the pediatric ICU and Piedmont Columbus Regional where Greenlee remained in a coma for seven days," Tina Lamb, Greenlee's mom said.
The Children's Miracle Network was able to provide the nurses with the technology and the tools that they needed to help save Greenlee's life.
"The nurses at the hospital were amazing," Tina said.
Mrs. Lamb says the staff even allowed Greenlee's dog, Walker, up to her room to see her plus they let her have her favorite food - pancakes… every morning.
"Greenlee has to live life a little differently, she was able to learn to walk again, but she still suffers from muscle weakness. She has limited mobility in her arm and very minimal use of her hand," Tina said.
Greenlee's family is thankful for the work at Columbus Regional.
"We are so grateful for Columbus Regional because without them having the level of trauma center Greenlee wouldn't be here with us today."
