Arrests continue in Columbus Pizza Hut shooting murder investigation
(WTVM) - Columbus police arrested two more suspects, less than 24 hours apart, on murder charges related to a deadly April shooting.
The shooting killed an up and coming rapper, 32-year-old Branden Denson.
The two new suspects behind bars are Dover Coppins and Tommie Mullins, both 24 years old. The arrests come four months after the shooting.
When Columbus police arrived at the Pizza Hut on Dogwood Drive and Buena Vista Road, they found Denson dead in his car from a gunshot wound.
You might recognize Denson for his work in the music industry. He was known as 'Billion Dollar BD', with a large fan base.
As for the shooting investigation, police say it's possibly drug-related.
The two new arrests make three total suspects in the case. In May, 28-year-old Eric Spencer was arrested for his involvement in the deadly shooting.
Spencer was arrested on charges of murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both Mullins and Coppins are scheduled to appear in Recorders Court this week; Coppins on Thursday and Mullins on Friday.
