5 cadets take oath of office at CSU's ROTC commissioning ceremony

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus State University Army's ROTC Cougar Battalion held its summer 2018 commissioning ceremony Thursday.

The event took place in the Lumpkin Center President's Room.

Five cadets took their oath of office as newly commissioned officers. The oath of office administration was done by Col. Clinton Cox, Fort Benning Garrison Commander.

He also offered advice to the new officers.

"You must be consistent and accurate always and bring values. It's not about you anymore. Everything you do from here on out is about the organization," said Cox.

Following the oath, the cadets had families pin on their Gold Stars and First Salutes.
