Calvary Christian School gym becomes museum for students to enjoy STEAM day
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Mobile Ed Productions STEAM Portable Hands on Museum stopped by Calvary Christian School Tuesday to focus on STEAM education.
Calvary Christian School turned into an interactive science museum that focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Principal Marinda Smith says it is good for the kids to be able to get out the classroom and out the books to be involved.
"This is our STEAM Day and this is a company called Mobile Ed Productions that comes to our area through The River Center "On The Road" Program. They are learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. As often as we can get them out of the classroom and out of books and up and being involved in science the better."
RiverCenter on the Road performances are curriculum-based, educational assemblies that are not only entertaining but also support the curriculum-connected standards of the school.
