AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Auburn University's College of Agriculture and the Agricultural Alumni Association will co-host the 39th annual Ag Roundup Saturday, Sept. 29.
The event will be at the Ag Heritage Park ahead of Auburn's 2018 homecoming game against the Mississippi Golden Eagles.
The Ag Roundup is a tradition for Auburn that celebrates Alabama agriculture and its impact on the state's economy and equality of life.
The event this year will showcase the College of Agriculture's eight academic units and their student organizations.
Development coordinator for the university, Delaney Navarro says, "One of our goals with Ag Roundup is to give an update on how Auburn, as a land-grant university, is affecting agriculture through its research, academic and outreach programs."
A goal of Ag Roundup is to provide students majoring in agriculture with financial support.
Partners in the agriculture industry will participate as well as local food vendors.
Ag Roundup is the college's largest tailgate of the year and is open to the general public. Tickets are $10 when purchased in advance at https://aub.ie/agroundup2018 or $15 at the gate. Children age 6 and under get free admission.
The ticket price includes a boxed lunch with a choice of hamburger or hot dog, chips and a soft drink.
