PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The mayor of Phenix City was honored for his accomplishments as a University of Alabama alumnus.

Mayor Eddie Lowe received the Paul. W. Bryant Alumni-Athlete Award at the Arkansas versus Alabama game in Tuscaloosa over the weekend.

The award recognizes former athletes for outstanding accomplishments since leaving the university. Selection is based on character, contributions to society, professional achievement, and service to fellowman.
