FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - The Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE) at Fort Benning hosted the 2018 Maneuver Warfighter Conference Tuesday.

The theme of the conference was "Sharpening Our Craft." The U.S. Army's Infantry, Armor and Calvary communities discussed topics such as priorities and future U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), operations in degraded environments, combat platforms, soldier lethality, and much more.

"The meat of this week is really the maneuver warfighter conference where senior leaders of the Army come here meeting. It's really the future leaders, our future sergeant majors, our future generals who are going through the courses here to discuss with them the future of the Army, and really the current fight as well," said Col. Matthew Scalia, G3 Chief of operations for MCOE.

Defense industry contractors also set up displays on York Field and inside McGinnis-Wickham Hall.
