COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Tax cuts were among the topics being discussed at the Muscogee County Republican Party meeting Tuesday evening.
David Ralston, Speaker of the Georgia State House was the guest speaker. Other elected officials were also in attendance along with Muscogee County Republican Party members from area high schools.
Ralston spoke about major tax cuts that were made and urged people to vote in the upcoming election.
"Cutting taxes, investing in education, and helping private businesses grow and create jobs--- think that's a record that we can go out as Republicans and talk about between now and Nov. 6," mentioned Ralston.
He also mentioned proposing future tax cuts that he says will save Georgians nearly $5 million over the next five years.
