Georgia firefighters climb stairs to honor fallen 9/11 heroes
WARNER ROBINS, GA (WTVM) - This year marked 17 years since the 9/11 terror attacks where nearly three thousand Americans died on September 11, 2001.
To honor the first responders who died trying to save people on that day, a pair of Georgia firefighters climbed 110 stories.
The duo, dressed in their complete uniform, got on a stair machine at a Planet Fitness gym in Warner Robins, GA at 8:46 a.m. to make the climb.
The time they began matches the time the first plane crashed into the first tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.
