Unlimited Bus Rides for Children in the Summer

May 28, 2008

COLUMBUS,Ga. (WXTX)-- It's summer time and school aged children are ready to soak up the  sun and enjoy the summer fun. But do parents have the time to transport their children back and forth to different events and still go to work?

The Columbus public bus transportation, METRA, has a solution to the problem. Starting June 1, children between the ages 9-18 will be able to purchase a bus pass for 20 dollar. The passes will be good for unlimited stops around the Columbus area. If the child is under 12 years old, they must a parent with them while riding the bus.

The bus system has even added some recreational spots to its schedule.

More information about the unlimited bus passes are available at the Metra office on 10th Avenue.
