We will see a hot and dry end to the week for Friday with a mostly sunny sky and highs again climbing into the mid 90s. Look for an increase in moisture on Saturday which may bring a few showers or storms to the area, but most will end up staying dry. Our temperatures may come down a few degrees.

Despite the hot streak we’ve been on lately, a cool front moving across the Southeast this morning has helped usher in a comfortable start to Friday with temperatures in the 60s!

Dorian Takes Aim at North Carolina; Heat Builds Close to Home

Hurricane Dorian is just off the coast of Myrtle Beach as of Thursday afternoon, and the track will continue to parallel the coast of South and North Carolina in the next day or so. Landfall can't be ruled out in North Carolina as Dorian lifts to the northeast with flooding rains and storm surge.

As Dorian moves northward well east of the Valley, we will see the far-reaching clouds from the storm pass through at times today with still plenty of hot sunshine in the mix.

Hurricane Dorian continues to spin off the Georgia coast, but it will soon be making a turn to the northwest and impacting the Carolinas. Much drier air has filtered in to the Valley on this Wednesday with some pleasant conditions expected over the next few days. Look for lows in the 60s through Saturday morning and highs back in the lower 90s. Thursday and Friday will feature a lot of sunshine and no rain.

A front sliding into the Southeast Wednesday will bring a refreshing dose of drier air into the Valley for the latter half of the work week.

After some more showers on this Tuesday, look for big improvements in the forecast as we head through the middle and end of the week with no chances of rain for Wednesday through Friday. Highs should be in the lower 90s, and it wouldn't be out of the question to see mid 90s.

It was another hot one on Wednesday with most spots staying dry and hot. Expect similar weather for Thursday and Friday with some fog to start the morning, and hot and muggy conditions in the afternoon and evening. The rain coverage will be around 20% on Thursday and around 30% on Friday.
