COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus police need your help solving a cold case murder.

It's been nearly seven months since the body of a man was found shot to death along I-185 inside his car. Now, police are asking for your help finding his killer.

It was during the early morning hours on July 11, 2015 when police were called in to a shooting on this stretch of Interstate 185 in Columbus.

"On I-185 Northbound just before the Cusseta Road overpass police were called to the scene of a shooting victim. Upon arrival police discovered Keith Turner had suffered gunshot wounds," said Officer Paul Moody with the Columbus Police Department.

Turner was pronounced dead on the scene shortly after 4 a.m. by the Deputy Coroner.

According to Officer Moody, at this time police have no clues as to what led to the deadly shooting of Turner or any witnesses who could shed some light on what they saw that morning in the northbound lanes of the interstate.

But you can help!

If you saw anything that could help police solve this crime you are asked to come forward with any information you could offer.

"Even if it’s a small piece of information a little detail, anything that you saw, heard, witnessed would be a very, very big help to us," Officer Moody said.

So help police bring justice to Keith Turner and his family, and help them put a killer behind bars.

If you know anything about the death of Keith Turner call Columbus police at (706) 653-3400.

Remember, any information you give will remain confidential.
