Precautionary boil water advisory lifted in Lafayette, AL

LAFAYETTE, AL (WTVM) - A precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted in Lafayette, Alabama.
The notice went into effect last week after a fire hydrant valve ruptured during repair and caused the City of Lafayette Water System to lose pressure.
City officials say bacteria tests of the water came back clean, meaning the water is safe to drink.
