Teenager dies after overnight shooting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - An 18-year-old male is dead after an overnight shooting in Columbus.

According to Coroner Buddy Bryan, 18-year-old J’Mauri Taylor was pronounced dead on the scene near Canaan Dr. in Columbus at 1:38 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Officials with the Columbus Police Department says they received a call regarding a shooting near the 8300 block of Canaan Dr. in Columbus around 12:35 a.m. According to CPD a second victim is on a ventilator in a local hospital.
