Library says person threw box of cockroaches at a staff member, prompting closure
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG/Gray News) - A cockroach attack forced the closure of a library in Ohio this week.
Surveillance footage was released by the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, appearing to show a person throwing a box of cockroaches at a staff member on Tuesday at the Kent Branch Library.
A library spokesperson confirmed the throwing of the box of cockroaches at the library worker on Collingwood Blvd.
But it wasn’t immediately shared what led up to the cockroach attack.
The library was said to have gone into restricted access before closing for the rest of the day for cleanup and remediation.
The Kent Branch Library reopened Wednesday. Officials did not say whether anyone would be facing any charges.
